nice job little one!

decent race here.  good swim, 1:41 / 100 with time to T1 so i'm thinking somewhere around 1:35 -1:36 / 100.  i didn't have to go all out, in fact i never did redline because i had a great draft almost the whole way.

t1 was 32 seconds, 6th o/a.  thats good.

i think the bike was a little short of 20k and the run was long.  but thats cool.  had fun.  bike was a little sketchy, hilly and raining. one 15% grade for ~75 yards.  and then one climb not quite as steep but ~ 3/4 of a mile that really hurt.

run was hilly too with to m'fer hills back to back.

hope everyone is having an AWESOME weekend.

we closed on our new home yesterday.  its on a little lake so i can ows from my back yard.  its also has a media room tucked away downstairs that i'm taking over for IM training.  we negotiated the 56 inch tv into the deal.. ha! oh, and its got a bar!!

NICE job on the swim.  T1 is a bit disappointing.  I would have expected under 30.  did you have a mimosa?

Exciting news on the house - when's the housewarming????

I had a good run.  My goal was 2:20 and I knew I might run a 2:15 if the running planets were in alignment, so I'm very pleased.  A 2:16 for my first half marathon.  The hills added up to 1922 ft. of ascent.  Wowza!!  And there was a double at mile 9 that was steep and long and TOUGH.  I walked for about 30 seconds up the last hill at mile 12.?  Other than that one, I kicked a$$.

Oh, the free beer in my finisher's pint glass was excellent. Time to rest!

Way to go Suzy and John (congrats on the new house too).

WAY TO GO!!!   Awesome job!!!   Nap time.....and when's the full???

I'm posting March AND February.  February was my biggest run month ever, and then I destroyed in March.  REALLY happy with this, and hope it pays off in 16 days!!!!  Also hoping my legs feel better, soon.  Yell

On the down side, I had to admit my dad to the hospital yesterday, against his objections.  It's going to be tough.  He has pneumonia, and he had fallen and hit his head.  He's refusing tests that he needs for other medical conditions, and I had to be th bad guy.  Working on updating directives and such.  Prayers and good thoughts are welcome.......

March's totals:
Bike:5h 43m 45s  - 84.59 Mi
Run:35h 19m 27s  - 238.62 Mi
Swim:1h 25m  - 4100 Yd

February's totals:
Bike:18h 39m 40s  - 288.89 Mi
Run:23h 47m 16s  - 152.37 Mi

Getting your parents to cooperate as they are failing is a huge bummer for all of us.  I am really sorry to see you going through it.

Wow - what an exciting Sat.  So much to cheer about - PRs, puking and house buying!

Awesome job Suzy, Jayne and John.

I had a great Sat. as well.  Kids did well at Odyssey.  My team was awesome.  So cute to see the little ones create something and be so happy with their work.  Although they almost drove me to drinking, I was really happy that I stepped up to coach.  And the parents gave me a $50 gift card to one of the local running stores.  Woo Hoo - guess they know me.  :-)

And I had one of my better runs in a long, long time.  My goal was just to get the miles in and not have issues or bail early.  The time went by quick, my pace was faster than expected and I only got a bit ouchy during the last mile.

I hope everyone has a great Sunday - we are off to MN Monday for spring break to see the relatives.  Goal there is to run and not get eaten by a bear.

Awesome job Jayne, Fatty and Suzy.  Great work all around.

Linda - you are putting up Terps like run numbers!  Sorry about your dad.  I hope it all works out for the best.

John - sounds like a awesome place although a bar in your IM workout room does not sound like a good combination.

Suzy - you are interested in a 52 incher - isn't that bigger than you???

Here are my March numbers.  Nothing to brag about unless you compare them to Jan and Feb - then they ROCK!

March's totals:
Bike:10h 43m 04s  - 188.38 Mi
Run:7h 04m 21s  - 50.29 Mi
Swim:4h 56m  - 14350 Yd

Run:10h 41m 09s  - 55.72 Mi
Swim:2h 55m 18s  - 7200 Yd

I'm happy with this month.  I woulda gone another 2 on the bike today if I had known I was that close.  Now I'm busy working my posting stats.

Edit to correct my public school education math that still would've left me short of 200 on the bike.  Kim will never hire me now...

Very sad and scary story about ultra distance runner Micah True.

I always let Kris know where I am going - especially when it is not a regular route.  Reading this will help me make sure I continue to do that.
