Subject: CycleOps Wired PowerTap - $400

Sold my bike for one that uses 650s, so I'm selling my wheels.  Here's the other one.

This is an older model wired Powertap on a Mavic rim, 32h Shimano/SRAM hub.  It still works fine and spins true so I haven't seen any need to replace it until now.  I don't have a skewer with it, but I'll sell it with a Continental tire.  It comes with the little yellow computer, 2 bike mounts, and a heart rate strap.  I have 2 105 cassettes, 11-23 and 11-28 and I'll include one of them for $25 more.

Do you know the Powertap model name?  I'm really interested in getting into power training and this could be great.

Also, is the computer the same as the ones available now?  What can be displayed on it?  I'm just curious since you said it's an older model - how old is it?

Thanks!

I'm not sure of the model, when I bought it I was told it was about 5 or 6 years old with very limited use.  I'm pretty sure it's a 2005 Pro model, but I'm not certain.  The computer is the same little yellow one sold today.

It has one line for current average or max watts, another line for current average or max speed, and another that has time, distance, time elapsed, heart rate, or cadence.  It also lets you show things by lap.  Basically just all the normal stuff on a normal computer, but with watts.  I also have the USB download cradle, I realized I hadn't mentioned that.

That looks exactly like the hub I have, If it is the sme as mine, it's an older model but it works with the latest PT head unit the yellow one with 2.4 on it.

Just recently had a new wheel built around it (dent in rim) and bearings replaced ($50 job) and it's good as new.

Works on the latest "shark-fin" receiver.

I bought mine used 4-5 years ago and it's still going strong.
