Subject: Xterra Vector Pro Wetsuit for $223.50 - Good Price?

I found a discount code for Xterra wetsuits today.  The Vector Pro Fullsuit which is normally $600 gets discounted by $376.50 to $223.50.  It sounds great, but I don't know much about Xterra (or any other) wetsuits.  Is this a good deal?

I already got mine. It's an elite level suit for a beginner price. It's awesome.

That is approx. 61% off.  Pretty good deal.  Is that discount code active?  I haven't seen one come out recently.  Is there also a discount code for the Vortex?

I have a sleeveless Vortex Wetsuit from XTERRA.  I will be purchasing a Full Wetsuit this year as well from them; needles to say I have been happy with their product.  Have a good reputation.  The company sells their own brand and does retail it out to vendors.

The discount code was active as of this afternoon. It absolutely works on the Vortex fullsuit.  It brings the price from $400 to $149.

The code is:  C-LTFMAG

I haven't seen a code for the Vortex Vendetta or I might be interested in that as well.  I usually like buying the best gear I can reasonably afford so that I don't hate my gear in a couple of months and want to upgrade before its lifespan is over.

I'll hunt around for more discount codes.  If I find anything that is better I'll post it here.  Thanks!

Try this code for the Vendetta. I used it to purchase the Vector Pro yesterday so not sure if it will work or not on the Vendetta, but worth a shot: ARIZONA

The code got the Vector Pro down to $238.50, but it doesn't work on the Vendetta.    Still a great discount.

I got mine for $299 and I love it a lot. Swam IM in it and it was awesome. That price is a great price, buy it! I also have a sleeveless Vortex and I like that one too. The Vector is thinner, more supple, and fits nicer though.

Sorry to tack on to this thread, but I have a related question.

I ordered one of the Vector suits along with the 2XU R1 yesterday.  I'm wondering if anyone knows how these two suits compare? Below is the link to the R1 suit direct to 2XU's site.  I found the R1 suit for $226 on Zappos.

I have the same wetsuit and am very happy with it.  The wetsuit itself is super awesome and performs admirably.  Xterra's customer service is top notch as well.  I severely damaged my wetsuit halfway through the tri season, it ended up being something covered under warranty, and with little hassle they had a brand new wetsuit in my hands very quickly.

I got my wetsuit today but noticed that before I put it on, it had what looks like a fingernail rip in it...  I hadn't even put it on yet.  Of course Xterra is closed for the weekend, but hopefully they will send me another one as I simply opened the bag to find it damaged.

Really the most important part about a wetsuit is that it fits.   A properly fitting bottom-of-the-line wetsuit will be faster than a top-of-the-line wetsuit that doesn't.

I had a similar problem, I think.  I just put my wetsuit on for the first time and I noticed a rip in the torso part of the suit.  My nails are very short and I pulled the leg portion of the suit up from the inside.  I didn’t even touch the torso portion of the suit with my hands.  Maybe I did rip it, but I really don’t think so.

Wetsuits are extremely easy to rip.  One of things on my pre-race day schedule is always to clip my fingernails to nothing - I'm sure my competitors appreciate this as well. When I was more new  to the sport I would wear gloves while putting on the suit to ensure that I didn't gouge them.  No worries though, the gouges are not a big deal and they are super easy to fix to with some wetsuit glue.   Although pulling up from the inside is a good idea you still rip the suit and that is why putting on a wetsuit properly should take a good 10-15 minutes.

I guess my issue is it was already ripped and I haven't put it on yet. I sent an email to xterra so I will see what they say.

They have deals going on all the time.  Just hold out and wait for the next one.  The season is a long way off.

Sweet!  Ordered the Medium Vector Pro Fullsuit last night and was all set to pay full price so I could get my suit before the season starts and they begin to sell out.  Saw these posts right after and checked the website and the code was still active and was hating myself for the moment.  Just called Xterra this morning and they are gonna credited the difference, $331.50 back to my credit card.  Final Cost $268.50.. 55% off.. Nice..  Customer service was fantastic, very nice and helpful.

Code is still active for the Vector Pro as of:  February 06, 2012

XTerra took great care of me and my ripped wetsuit.  While they thought it was a fingernail rip, they still sent me a new wetsuit since I hadn't put it on.  Great company.
