Cappy,

I am too busy trainning to check the water. Some of us are going to ride the Shamrock course on Sat am. I will check the water this weekend but as you know I am not a cold water swimmer. I guess the penguins in my backyard are a sign that it is still too cold!!

I'll do anything to spend less time in a chlorine infested pool. I have to order a new tire so maybe I will get a neoprene cap while I am at it.

That's the spirit!

Seth, why not have Mark order one for you as well and you can pay him back when you get it from him at our 1st OWS next week!

I have one and do not plan on using it!!! I am happy to watch you guys freeze! I have a sufficient option till it warms up. I will check the temp for you and let you know. Mark should get earplugs too to keep put the pieces of ice floating in the lake!

Hey, let us know when your first indoor Tris is… Mark and I will come and cheer, as long as we’re not swimming that morning…

Cappy,

It is not nice to make fun of the partially diasbled. I have no hope of beating you in ANY races this year. An indoor tri maybe the best I can do..I am injured, OLD, fat and hoping to keep up with you.

Where is Aaron ? Why dont you kick him around? he likes the smack talk. I know my place ..DFL.

humbly yours,

Seth

Listen, Gimpy… As you know, Tri season is rapidly approaching so you’re not going to be able to sing that “I’m injured” tune of yours much longer. Time to put down the violin and get out there and do some training!

    Danielle,

Now that is funny. Who would be scared of a bunch of dummies who torture each other on a web board for all the world to see? What you should be scared of is the GIANT snapping turtles in the lake. But dont worry they only grab the slowest swimmers....

Here I am minding my own business, having turned over a new leaf by no longer talking smack and I get provoked.  Must resist the urge.........  I am so going to have to join you guys if for nothing else to sit on the shore with Seth and watching the Captn and Stone freeze their butts off.   Lake T should  feel like bathwater compared to the Sound.

I may have been stupid enough to talk trash to get you to register for CBerry but I'm not dumb enough to take that side bet.

    Aaron,

For right incentive I can do my best to make sure he works like a dog at Timberman and you can take him down the following week.

Ok, You crazy cold water swimmers, I promise to get a temperature reading tomorrow and will post it here for your horror! It is so cold the ducks are still on the beach!!

By the way How about a Lake T Tri session. Bike and run and we can extend both abit for the more spunky crowd. We can have two groups ride the course. Group one Mark and Group two everyone else!

Let me know if anyone is interested particularly you first timers this would be a great chance to preview the course.

I am off to NH next weekend but lets see who is interested and get something on Robs schedule!

I think a Lake T Tri session is a great idea. Count me in!

"We can have two groups ride the course. Group one Mark and Group two everyone else!" Might I propose we do the same for the runs?

what's goign on with the O/W swim? the pool i swim at is closed all next week so i'd love to get some OWS in. i have no idea where anything is though. i heard that people can swim in quonnipaug lake off rte 77 near rte 17; i often sometimes bike around there.

Yeah baby... My gear just got here today! I hope to get wet at some point over the next two weeks. Going to give it a go at Lake Terramuggus in Marlborough.

    Let's get in the water!

My goodness! Does one need all that to swim up here?? I have a wetsuit, but that's it. What are the two things at the bottom? Foot warmers?

All this cold rain is making me a little nervous about the swim...we still need Seth to get a temperature reading.

As for training on Lake T course, the roads are an absolute mess. I am all for taking one loop around the course but I would not want to spend a whole workout there. Maybe we can do one loop as part of a longer ride and then do the run.
