Is anyone doing any of these races this weekend?  Just curious to see how this series makes out; I'd really like to see it succeed.

I'm not doing Naples but am also interested in how it goes.  I'm thinking of doing Ft. Collins and/or Lake Havasu...

I'm doing the half.  Went down and talked to the guys as they set up transition.  They really sound organized and committed.  I hope it translates into a good race.  The water has dropped about ten degrees this week so I'm not looking forward to that.

I know they are new to triathlon, but HITS has been running huge mulit-week horse shows for a long time. They know how to put on a big event and deal with logistics of thousands of people. If they can keep horse people happy and coming back to their shows, I have confidence that they can put on a quality triathlon.  There's one coming to Wisconsin and it's on my short list for this year or next.

If I do not qualify for Kona or Vegas I am doing at least one of them.

Yep I've heard that, but first tri weekend they did in December had some major issues especially for the races that were on Saturday...not enough nutrition, unmarked course and more and I believe it was for the HIM and IM distance race.

Race on Sunday went much better which to me means they learn and improve from their mistakes.
