Did finisherpix screw up?  They just sent me a link to download my race pic's, which I thought was a little strange.

I hit the download link and it was a 35MB zip file of all my race pics in High Res with no watermarks.  The email is talking about their copyright and stuff and appears to be the link they'd send me if I bought the whole picture package.  I was actually considering buying one of the pics from them so I'll probably still go do that to be fair.

Some poor IT guy is probably looking for a new job over there.  woops

I survived IM Kansas 70.3 2012 should be on a  t-shirt, LOL.

This was my second HIM, and by far the hardest race "in general" I've ever done.  I worked sooo hard on the bike that by the time I got to the run, my legs were toast.  Never the less, I finished and I'm so proud that I made it to the finish line a little rough, but in one piece.

Lisa, I saw you on the run with your cute tutu.  I smiled and wanted to say something but was too tired, LOL.

Congrats to everyone!

Hmm yeah the first time I clicked and put in my race number it started to download something but my work computer stopped it or froze up or something.

Now it seems to be working as it was intended. My swim exit photo is hilarious. It needs a caption contest or something.

Definitely--You'll need that $26 to give to Active.com for them to forward your registration info to Ironman.

I remember it opening in December or january. It has never sold out, but I do think there is a price break if you sign up early. I might be completely wrong though.

Okay I was only partially wrong. Usually I am completely wrong, so I consider it progress.

I signed up about a month before the race and I believe I had to mortgage my house, sell my car, and wash dishes for a week to cover the entry fee.

I know this race is 10 months away but has anyone decided to do this race next year? I know I'm in. Haven't got registered yet but gonna wait till I get some more training under my belt. Any advice on the bike to get me ready for this course?

I will veryveryvery likely be in again.
For the bike, the best advice I can give is to get out on the actual course and ride it before the race. Practice on hills if you can find them, but getting out on the race course will let you know exactly what you're dealing with.

Keep an eye on the Kansas state forum as there will probably be BTers making plans to meet up and pre-ride together.

I'm not sure if anyone is watching this thread still or not. My question is about the bike course. Can anyone compare the KS 70.3 route to the Branson 70.3 route? I live 20 minutes away from the Branson high road and assume this is my best training option. I would like some opinions as to which route is more difficult and why?

Thanks!

Apples and oranges-however; if you train on the high road and some of the steep rollers near Branson you should be well prepared for Kansas

I've done Racine the last 2 years and have decided to add this one to my list next year.  Although I'm slightly hesitant with the horror stories of the weather conditions last year.  I'll be looking for some advice about the course this spring to help get me ready.
