Expert  1123   Columbus |  Subject: Ohio State Indoor Triathlon : Official ThreadSo a week away - I see 3 others signed up. Anyone else in that hasn't entered in Race Link? I am looking for a hard training day - 630m/8.15miles/2.3miles This is a fun event -come early with your family and use the family swimming pool! Stay for awards - done on spot, light hearted college kids fun.

I did a decent b/r brick today and felt alright, but still not completely recovered. What time does the party get started on Sunday, anyways? |

All open non-collegiates go before collegiates so the open event should be done by noon with separate awards for open done then.. You can use the center starting an hour before the event. Once your in, you can stay until close. |

Like I mentioned when I introduced myself this is my 1st event (other then some 5ks & the Ruckus run last August) & I am so excited! I will be the slow swimmer doing the backstroke! LOL! Next goal is learning the freestyle so I will be watching (and cheering for) all you guys who are awesome. I am buying my 1st street bike this weekend too (I have been riding my husbands trail bike)! Super exciting... Any thoughts on a good place to get a nice used streetbike? |

| 17 | Subject: RE: Ohio State Indoor Triathlon : Official Thread The indoor tri was awesome, more fun then I anticipated! A really relaxed atmosphere & well organized! I exceded my own expectations in the swim & bike, did good with the running too but could have done better! I think the track is a little slick....anyone else? I guess I like the track @ my gym, kinda spongy with texture....then again the open road is my favorite. This event has pumped me up!! I am still rolling with adrenaline (2 days later) but then again this is my 1st tri event. My kids & my parents had a blast in the leisure pool & my Dad (once a lifeguard) showed my Husband some good swim techniques too! He is really excited about joining me in this new adventure of triathlons! |

It was nice meeting you  Good luck with your marathon training, my Dad & Step- Dad both ran marathons, my Step-Dad qualified for the NYC. I was only 13 then, but it was so awesome to see him finish & to go to NY at such a young age! |
