Swim
Comments: Forgot to get my time :) I am assuming it was around 8.30 minutes or so. This felt like an easy swim, and only wished it could have done the olympic distance for the swim (but the bike and run would have killed me!) I also believe that the international distance was shorter than the sprint doubled (just judging on time alone). What would you do differently?: nothing really, just train more. I didn't take this too seriously, and I guess like anything else, if you want to be great at something, you need to put in the effort. Transition 1
Comments: again, don't know my time but when I started the bike, it was about 12 minutes into the race. What would you do differently?: need to practice getting into my biking shoes while they are clipped into the pedals. Bike
Comments: I believe the time was probably closer to 33:30 when transition taken into account (roughly 16mph). I have never really biked before (Actually it was my first time in riding with biking shoes). I had been going to spin class so I am sure that helped. For the first time, I think it went quite well, but being passed by everyone is not too exciting! What would you do differently?: get on an actual bike and cycle more. Get used to my bike :) Transition 2
Comments: this went smoothly, however coming into the transition area was difficult as I was undoing my shoes while still on the bike. time approximate What would you do differently?: same as all the rest... practice, practice, practice Run
Comments: ouch, absolutly my weakest part, but hey I'm a swimmer - not a runner :) The hill killed me, and I'm glad I didn't do a second lap. What would you do differently?: run more often, and when I do run, just don't do flat ground. Post race
Warm down: walk around trying to find my girlfriend, and then cheering for other athletes What limited your ability to perform faster: lack of experience and training, need to find some people to train with... it's tough to do it on your own... but it was fun. Event comments: would have liked to have had the national anthem sung before the start of the race, but guess the person just didn't make it. Fun time overall! Last updated: 2006-04-25 12:00 AM

One of my first races, woke up in the morning and had 1/2 of an english muffin. Got to the race about 15 minutes before they closed the transition area and got everything set up.. probably give myself more time next race.
um, woops... I guess I stood around and laughed with people if that counts.
