Happy February!!!

4:15am:  12 mile run

I am sooooooo happy/relieved...Sunday's long run ended short due to a horrible calf cramp/knot.  Since then I have been stretching, rolling, icing, etc.  Did 6 yesterday with a bit of soreness.  Was not expecting too much today and planned to probably cut it short...calf felt GREAT and completed my 12 miles with no problem/pain.  I feel like I dodged a bullet and with tomorrow being a rest day, I am still on training schedule.  Yahooooo.  Note to self...roll and stretch consisntently!!!

Have a great hump day!

Glad to hear you're healthy! 1:05 run after work. Decided to do it this evening and actually enjoyed it for once. Somehow haven't learned to enjoy those early AM runs, just to get them done, and really just wanted to get outside while it was light! If I do this routinely it will mean doing both swim and bike workouts Thursday PM--going to see tomorrow if it's worth it!

Ingleshteechur,

Looks like you beat me this morning. I also ran at 4:15am, but, only did 10 miles (1:27:47, 8:46 average pace).

Looks like I need to step it up now.

30 minute time trial on the trainer this morning.   Odometer said 10.6 miles.     I'm pleased.  Will be more pleased when I can hold that pace for an hour.

I can't believe January is over. That really went quick.

Did not succeed in waking up this morning, so I will be swimming 2000 at lunch today followed by a 25 mile bike ride after work.

Hope everyone has a great day.

First run since Thanksgiving due to a Plantar Fasciitis layoff.  Starting again from scratch, but it is nice to be running again.  Swimming at lunch.

5:15 am - 3 mile run, short and sweet. I feel like a late starter since we have the 4:15er's out there.

Enjoy the day,
Chris

It's 60 degrees and sunny here!! I am going to take a nice long slow run this afternoon after work. Feeling really good after doing the FTP test yesterday and registering as a volunteer for IMLP.

Aw. Hope you do feel better!

Hour's run for me today. Ouch ... owie ... sometimes the 'easy' or 'recovery' runs are harder than the long ones you're recovering from!

50 mins on the trainer at 5:45 this morning.  Was going to go for a shortish run as well this afternoon but we appear to be experiencing a bit of a snow storm that may derail those plans.

I may have beat you in mileage but not in time!  Well done.  Actually anything done at 4:15am is well done!

4:15 is still nighttime to me. Wow.

Anyway, I've this horrible crud again. I've started another round of antibiotics, and they seem to be helping. The campus nurse brought me a cup of Halls cough drops yesterday afternoon -- they are half gone. :-(

Anyway . . . I didn't do anything yesterday. I tried to ride the trainer this morning at 6:30 (in stead of swimming), and I made it only 15 minutes. I'm sick of being sick. I think we need a deep, long, hard freeze. I love the 60 degree days and sleeping with my window open at night, but it is February now.

Rant over.

4:15am is still not night time, it is morning.  Heck, here in Phoenix in summer it is the only time to exercise outside.

Getting up around 3 though (yes, it takes me a while to wake up), I would maybe consider that night time.
