Ok, time to stop being a Fred. I've been wearing mismatched stuff and cheap performance bike cycling jerseys since I got my bike and didn't have any money left over for clothing. Anyone have any recommendations on nice looking cycling jerseys? I've been looking pretty hard and I like the LG and Castelli stuff but don't have any experience with either. One thing I've noticed is that I like the look of the women's clothing a lot better... Seems that they have much more sensible taste. A lot of the nicer stuff for guys is too "pro" looking. I guess what I'm looking for are some nice jerseys that aren't covered with a bunch of ads and crazy colors. I'm particularly looking for black and white combinations... Any places to shop? The jerseys I like from performance bike are always sold out in my sizes.

The LG Mondo jersey is black/white and it is very comfortable. I recommend anything LG and especially the Mondo jersey...

I wear tons of castelli stuff, but beware they're "euro" sized so they run super small. As far as places to shop I've had great luck on amazon. Most of the big online retailers show their inventory there so it's an easy way to comparison shop.

I pick up jerseys for races and rides I've done.

I much prefer "crazy colors" because they're eye catching so drivers may be a bit more aware of me on the road. I tend to avoid earth tones that blend in to the background for that very reason.

The selection isn't great right now, but I have had good luck finding nice "plain" jerseys at REI-outlet.com for cheap (especially when they have the Extra 20% off outlet deals).

I also 2nd the suggestion of amazon if you know what you want.

If you know what you are looking for and what a fair price is ebay is a good source.  I got a new Nike Discovery Channel jersey for $15

I tend to only buy stuff on sale - there are enough sales out there from time to time that you can get some nice stuff as long as you are patient.  Right now the Tour of California has $20 jerseys, with their clearance and 25% off coupon on top of that.  Nice Voler stuff.

Here you go, but be warned it is kind of pricey:

http://www.capocycling.com/apparel/mens-apparel

There are a lot of on-line retailers for Capo apparel.

Go your LBS with the best stock and try everything on.  Buy one for this invaluable service they provide and then buy online if your strapped for cash.  Race cut or relaxed, sizing on different brands, pocket styles, full vs. half zip, who knows what is going to work for you.  Trying a bunch on can narrow down your decision in a hurry.

 gl!

btw, often out of season your lbs will have just as good of a deal as you could find scouring the web.

Bonktown seems to have Capo stuff on sale all the time. Good option for quality at a lower price.

Capo bibs on there now.  If you like black/white combo, Rudy Project has a kit that when on sale is pretty cheap.  Got a set for Christmas.  Only problem is "Rudy Project" splattered 28 times on it.

Thanks for the suggestions... My fiance/unofficial fashion coordinator recommended me this lol. Pretty original indeed. Some rise, some fall, some climb...

I've bought most of my jerseys from Primal Wear.  http://www.primalwear.com/

They'vegot a good selection, some nice fun stuff, great prices and a *really* good clearance section.  Riding in their gear for about 2 years, I can also say the quality exceeds what I expected for the price (expected them to fray or fade after a year, but they still look and fit brand new.)

Highly recommended.

A couple of years ago I stocked up on jerseys and bibs from Ebay.  I got addicted to scrolling through and looking for cool, unusual stuff.  Scored some great bargains.  I've gone back there to find jerseys as gifts for my family too.  If I'm patient I can usually find exactly what I'm looking for.  My best find was a surplus team full outfit that included matching short sleeve, long sleeve jerseys, bibs, and a cold weather jersey/jacket.
