Run
Comments: I didn't take any extra liquids before the race or during the race, but that didn't effect me. I hung with some friends from school for the first 5 miles and then pushed in for the last mile +. My shins tightened up in the first mile or two, but loosened with some exagerated heel toe running. What would you do differently?: Go faster, trainer harder, etc... Post race
Warm down: Walked back along the route to look for friends and then ran in with the last of them. What limited your ability to perform faster: I haven't done much running since the PG Triathlon training period, but I felt comfortable with the distance. I probably could have pushed myself harder, but I wanted to enjoy the run and I knew my body wasn't trained for pushing a lot faster. Event comments: It was a fun race and the criwd at the back of the start area was pretty easy going. I'd run this course again as a race or for fun. Last updated: 2005-11-08 12:00 AM

Nothing special. I didn't do any special diet prep (Red, Hot, & Blue for dinner), but I drank a lot of water and gatorade two - three days prior.
I was dropped off at the race site, which was nice.
A little stretching, a 1/4 mile walk.
