Subject: New Training Tires or New Racing Tires?
I recently bought a set of Mavic CXP22 for training wheels and will use my SRAM S60s on race day. Should I purchase a set of Gatorskins (or something similar) for my training wheels and keep my Conti 4000s black chilli for my race wheels? Or, should i move my conti 4000s to my training wheels and get some new race tires?

Or get another set of GP4000s tires and have them on both. Find them on sale and they're as durable and affordable as anything else that's worth a damn. Gatorskins and Armadillos are great but they do feel like slogging through mud some days.

I am running a set of 4000s on my training wheels and put the 'faster' Vittoria EVO Open Corsa CX with latex tubes on my S80s for racing.

I think you'll find that a lightweight set of race tires will make a noticable difference in your times.  The Conti's are great tires, but try a set of Bontrager R4 Aeros on your race wheels.  A good thing about the Bontys is the 30-day unconditional guarantee.  If you don't like them take them back for a refund or exchange.
