Subject: Bib Question

I am running my first ever race tomorrow and just got my bib.  The bottom is designed to be removed but says don't remove until finish.  It also says to not pin.  So tuck it behind the bib?  or What?

Thanks,

Court

The pin-holes (if it has them) should be above the dotted line. Pin through there. If it doesn't have pin-holes, then just pin on both sides above the dotted line.

It's a little late for it now, and pinning is fine, but in the future you might want to invest in a race belt that's designed to hold race numbers in place. Essential for tri, convenient for running. And no pin-holes in your nice dry-tech gear!

P.S. GOOD LUCK!!!! First running race--how exciting--most of all, HAVE FUN

Thanks for the reply.  So I leave the tag hanging during the race?  I am so trying not to look like a newbie.   As for the race, I am excited and scared.  I put a lot of work into training for the 13.1 and just want to complete it with my head held high.

I would leave it (the tag) on.  Mainly because sometimes at the end of the race they will use those tags as vouchers for picking up your finisher's medal, beer, entrance to the post race party or something like that.  Usually, though, they aren't used and you could realistically take them off and nobody would care or notice.  In my experience, I don't even notice the bib - let alone the tags at the bottom - after a mile or so.

Try not to worry about it too much and have fun!!
