Run
Comments: Started towards the back with Dud and Mike. Ran along at a nice pace with the wind at our back. Road kind of sloppy but not bad. Passing a few folks and getting passed occasionally, I am guessing by people that got there late due to the weather. The snow was coming down pretty good. On the short road towards the turnaround, the snow wasn't melting and it was slippery. The good news is we aren't on this section long, the bad news is the return is into the head wind with a bit more uphill. Zoned out a bit and next thing I know Mike and Dud aren't with me. Turn around and see that they had stopped for Mike to fix his shoe. We are close to the finish so I figure on just waiting there for them. Fun run despite the weather. What would you do differently?: Nothing, we ran it as we wanted to. Post race
Warm down: Got inside and changed into dry clothes. Sat and enjoyed an IPA with Dud and Mike along with a couple of slices. What limited your ability to perform faster: No snow chains on my shoes! Last updated: 2012-02-13 12:00 AM

Up early due to the wind driving the dog nuts and banging things around, so I got my Insanity workout done before picking up Dud and heading to the park and ride for Mike. Several times on the interstate the snow was coming down so hard and wind driven that we had to slow down to 20 mph with several cars off the road. Finally made it to the race site, picked up chip, at least I did, and headed to the start.
Nothing, it was cold and windy with the snow coming down hard, just another freezeroo!
