Subject: Swimming help in Grand Prairie?

My wife and I want to try Tri this year.

We plan on the Metroplex 06/09/12, but it has been years since either of us did any real swimming.

Are there any tips about where to get started?

You've got a couple options I know of:1. Trijunkies swims at the natatorium in Grand Prairie a couple times a week I think2. The LifeTime Fitness in Mansfield (depending on what part of GP it's not that far) has a Masters Swim program that is "beginner friendly"3. There are a few groups that swim at Joe Pool once daylight savings time kicks in, soon!4. Check you tube for swimming technique then get in and get some laps in the water

I know I'm late getting this reply in, but the Ridglea Masters team used to practice at the Mansfield ISD natorium. Great people on that team!
