Pre-race routine:

With race starting at 9 was able to sleep in. Wake up @ 6. Taking this race as a training day so I only had coffee.
Event warmup:

Very little warm up. Chilly and not feeling well.
Swim
  • 05m 20s
  • 273 yards
  • 01m 57s / 100 yards
Comments:

Actually swam the entire length. Felt really good. My swim was much slower than I thought. I really took my time and concentrated on ensuring that I could make it.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing. I just have to continue working on my swimming.
Transition 1
  • 01m 42s
Comments:

I am not sure why this transition was so slow. I felt like I was just plodding through this portion of the race.
What would you do differently?:

Remember that I need to hurry up. Hurry without rushing.
Bike
  • 23m 44s
  • 7 miles
  • 17.70 mile/hr
Comments:

Bad ride. I can not explain what happened here either. There were wind gust, but we all had to deal with that. Just really slow today.
What would you do differently?:

Ride faster. Not sure. Just didn't have it today.
Transition 2
  • 01m 12s
Comments:

Too slow for only grabbing my belt and taking off my helmet.
What would you do differently?:

Practice.
Run
  • 12m 55s
  • 2 miles
  • 06m 28s  min/mile
Comments:

Obviously my strongest area so even though I took it easy mostly, I still did good.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing.
Post race
Warm down:

Just a short walk.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Not sure why I wasn't faster. Felt really good going into the event. Really wanted to take it easy but not this easy.

Event comments:

Very good race. Awesome event to open the year. Will definitely keep it on my race calendar.

WOW!! Smoked the run! That one stretch of road on the bike was pretty bumpy too.
