djastroman - 2012-03-20 1:14 AM I spent about 3-4 hours at a wings places on Friday night with the wife.  After eating my weight in wings and beer, we went to the movies where I ate my size in popcorn.  I'm amazed I could still get on the bike the next morning!

I think you and I need to get together for a meal. ("meal" being the loose term for eating own bodyweight ...) Either that, or find a third racer for the eating triathlon (eat-swim-eat-bike-eat-run-eat-run together to finish ... done as a relay)

I confess my 80/20 rule on eating (eat healthy and good 80% of the time so that the other 20% doesn't matter) has been reversed the past 2 weeks.  In fact I'm lucky if I hit 20% good and healthy.  The wife was at SXSW for the tech convention for a week and I  think I (kids included) ate out EVERY meal.

this week...... back on the wagon!

Will a Weekend confession work?

Too much basketball watching, beer drinking (a record 4 days in a row starting Thursday with opening tournament day), and nacho/pizza (the food kind Cry)/wing eating...not enough workouts time in a weekend to counteract that!  Gained 4 pounds since Wednesday...

So far so good today...fruits and veggies all day and a little grass fed beef on my salad for lunch...

sigh...one day at a time...why is this so hard?

mmm Tuesday confession.  A friend asked me to make her some Scottish tablet to take to her family on Baha'i New Year.  Tablet is a sort of hard, grainy fudge that melts in your mouth.  It is gorgeous and one of the reasons we Scots have such interesting smiles; the recipe starts with 920g sugar.  Well, way too much product sampling went on and now I have to make another batch.Embarassed

Now that sounds like my kind of relay!

Getting a little off topic here but Yanti, where the heck do you *get* all that stuff you eat?? And did the frog leg friccassee taste just like the chicken version? To be honest, your food confessions lead me into temptation so I'll have even more to confess.

And love the food relay idea. Bet you could combine it with a vomiting contest, with points earned for distance and volume.

This is COJ, it's off-topic by definition

We were at Bali's swankiest six-diamond resort for their famed Sunday brunch.

No, the froglegs were quite boring. The only merely satisfactory dish among everything else which was sufficiently outstanding as to induce ecstasy and transcendence.

The food tri is real. However, you get DQed for vomiting.

Glad to hear you were at a buffet. Had me wondering there for a bit, thinking you'd have all kinds of awful leftovers and a terrible mess of dishes to clean up when you got home. Plus I couldn't figure out how the heck you had time to cook all that. Sorry to hear about the frog legs. Sounds like they were more for shock value than actual taste. My only experience with frog legs was when my dad put them in a little water and microwaved them. No spices, nothing. My first thought when I saw them sitting in the dish was, "Those are some really weird-looking drumsticks." They tasted like chicken that had been eating swamp mud. Yum.
