GU Flavors- What's your favorite?...m (Page 2)

Chocolate Outrage, Mint Chocolate and Pineapple Rocktane are my go-to's. 

I was a little disappointed in the Peanut Butter flavor, but it was not horrible. I thought it would be opaque/creamy like the chocolate varieties but it was clear-ish and tasted that way too, if you know what I mean.

Espresso Love and Chocolate Outrage.  Only fruit flavor I like is the Tri Berry.

Recently, my wife and I switched to Clif Shot gels...used to hate them, but they've radically changed the formulation recently and they're much tastier now.  Our local supermarket happens to carry them, so we made the switch from GU for convenience sake.  I use the Clif Mocha flavor and she likes the Chocolate.

People seem to fall into either the "fruity" or "vanilla/chocolate" camp when they pick their GU.  If you can't choose, there is always Chocolate Raspberry ROCtane. 

GU's best-selling flavors are Vanilla and Strawberry-Banana. 

I prefer Just Plain (tastes like caramel) and Peanut Butter (tastes like Abbazabbas or those orange/black wrapped taffies you get at Halloween).

If you want to try a bunch of different flavors, you can buy individual packets at REI.  They frequently have a "buy 12 items, get 20% off" sale and individual packets of GU (and any other nutritional products) count as one item.  Then, you can have your packets shipped to your local store for free.

I'm mostly a CLIF Girl, so Citrus, Raz and most of the flavors of BLOKS (don't love Margarita, but understand the purpose) work for me. I don't like chocolate or vanilla flavors, but have been known to down a Chocolate Cherry Turbo (2x caffeine) if I really need it.

I also love the Hammer Apple Cinnamon and, if I really am feeling high on myself, the Pineapple Roctane from GU is pretty tasty.

In actuality, though, i find the best "flavor" gel is whichever one you get get down as quickly as possible without making contact with teeth or tongue- rarely is there a flavor that I want to savor for 5+ minutes while working it down.
