I will be going this year to watch. A big group of ppl from my club are doing it so we will have a decent size group there this year and I thought it would be a nice day to look at the race and hang out. It is on my list for next year but I dont know if its too close to Eagleman or not.

Not too close to Eagleman.  In fact, many people do it as lead-up to Eagleman, including me in my first season.  If I can do it, you can!

Mike Hasson - 2012-03-22 12:35 PM Who's in?  I am.

Me too. And plenty of others besides.

Looking forward to it. Last year it was my first real tri, so I'm looking forward to returning.

Columbia 2009 was my worst performance ever. This year I redeem myself.

In...doing E-man too.

James, I'm shooting for Sub 2:30 as well. That said, I'll have to cut 7+ minutes from last year. My run is there...hoping my bike and swim are too.

Heard informally that the water in Centennial lake has been unseasonably warm.  Any chance for a non-wetsuit-legal swim?  (a guy can dream, right?)

On Friday, the water temp was stated as 69.4. With the cool rain we've had so far this week I'm not sure we can expect that to rise much at all. No, it will definitely be wetsuit legal.

That's my nighmare. We flatlanders need our floaties, or you fishy folk will be finished before we leave the water.

The lake temperature has been posted today as 71ºF. Sleeved or sleeveless wetsuit? I've only practiced in the sleeved so far this season.

Last year's water temp was 71.  I wore a full sleeve and had no issues.  I think you'd be ok unless it gets quite a bit warmer.

Although I personally almost never wear a sleeveless - my opinion is that if it is warm enough that you need to go sleeveless, it is warm enough to go without a wetsuit at all.

Good luck to everybody on Sunday!

Any plans for BTers to meet up afterwards some place near the finish line, e.g. on the hill overlooking the lake?

I did OKAY but I did have FUN (in a suffer fest way) Cool  Race report forth coming once they fix the results.

Most likely I will be back next year as my goal was not met but is reachable.

The one interesting part of yesterday was an argument on the bike course between a couple of people about cutting corners and keeping right (it lasted about 1 minute) ugghhhhh Frown

I met my goals for swim, bike, and transitions, but then the run CRUSHED me. I HATE that run course. Still, I took 7 minutes off last year's time. Not sure I want anything to do with this course again
