Beastie Boys - Licensed to Ill closely followed by Poison - Look What the Cat Dragged In

I have to agree with the comments about Hysteria.

First "rock" LP (given to me for my 13th b-day): soundtrack to "Footloose". Never bought any vinyl myself. First tape album was something by Melissa Etheridge, "Brave and Crazy" maybe? I mostly just had friends dub stuff for me because I didn't have a job or allowance to buy music. Hope I don't get arrested for music piracy.

Leif Garrett--sigh--makes me think back on my major crush on Shaun Cassidy. I wanted the t-shirt/jeans/pink satin jacket with his picture on it SO bad. For some reason my mom wouldn't buy it for me. Go figure.

The Who- Who's Next.  Actually, it was my older brother's, but I stole it and listened to it over and over again.

That was our entire generation's ANTHEM!!!

This statement, while true, makes me feel old.  Isn't this what our parents use to say about their music?

Still love some of the songs off of that tape.

I don't recall my first 8-track or my first Cassette.  I think 8 track was zepplin.  I do know that my first CD was DSOM and Every Picture tells a Story.

I still have a Beatles White Album, the white pressing, still in the shrink wrap.  The price tag is still on it. I belive that and Jesus Christ Superstar are the only two I have left.

I didn't think of 8-tracks, so I will have to change mine. the first album I bought was Molly Hatchet's debut "Molly Hatchet". We had one of those big cabinet stereo systems that had the radio/turntable/cassette/8-track player that took up half a room.

And for those who are curious, yes I still have the 8-track, plus about 50 others. I have a player in my house and the factory one still in my '76 Ford so I can listen to them.

When I was in second grade my parents let me join the Columbia Record Club.  Since I knew nothing about music I bought based upon album covers.  My first album (in cassette) was Black Sabbath - Paranoid which was a little different than what my friends were listening to.

I still have that cassette in a drawer at my parent's house.
