Member 44 | Subject: RE: SeaFair Triathlon It's a well-organized event. This will be the 3rd year for my daughter in the kids' event, and my wife's first sprint. I entered the olympic last year, but forgot my seattube clamp and only did the swim, so I can't comment on the bike or run course. They looked good on the map, though! |

Did they allow wetsuits last year? Wetsuits are always allowed. Temps don't get warm enough in the lake to not allow wesuits. I will be doing this race, however I am also doing Ragnar Relay Friday-Saturday. It's going to be a sleepless weekend. |

| 89 | Subject: RE: SeaFair Triathlon This one sounds good. I especially like the fact the price isn't too astronomical like full Ironmans. The Olympic distance is what i train at on a regular basis anyway, so, extra time is not needed to prepare, like for a full. |

Same -- I've done the sprint once or twice (before they offered an Oly) and it was a great race. I'd say I'm looking forward to the longer race, but really I'm questioning WTF I'm doing running Ragnar Friday/Saturday and then racing an Oly on Sunday. It's all Birdy's fault... darn him!! |

I'm running Seafair too - my first Olympic, and I'm a little freaked out as even my cycling times compared to last year's finishers are extremely slow. Hopefully it's a bigger race this year, with more people in the "beginner" category... RTB has a swim/run at Seward Park tomorrow night that I am planning to attend in order to familiarize myself with the course: http://www.weraisethebar.com/training/seward-park-training/. Hopefully it's not too long of a run, considering the race is this Sunday! |

I will have it again for seafair :D http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FRY2xvJS1TU Every tri I've done, I've thrown up in the first 3 miles of the ride.
