Run
Comments: good run; started off way too fast (6:30) on the first mile and then held a steady 7:58 average for all miles after that. I was amazed. This was the first hard run I have had since way before getting pregnant so it was my 'come back' race. Goals were just to run under 2 hours and have no postpartum incontinence! I felt strong and fast the whole race. Made sure to switch sides of the road to avoid any posterior tib or iTB issues What would you do differently?: train harder and kick butt Post race
Warm down: walked back to watch friends run; drink full gatorade, ate banana and then drank some beer. My quads were SHOT from this hard run without proper training What limited your ability to perform faster: should have trained at pace/tempo Last updated: 2012-03-27 12:00 AM

got up, ate bagel with 1/2 PB and 1/2 Jelly; fed Jackson, drank water and did a little stretching. Walked from 54th to 42nd street and got ready for race!
a little stretching but not much in terms of warm up! :)
