Couple of surges in the water to get used to the cold. Who's idea was it to swim with no wetsuit. BLOODY COLD!
Swim

  • 300 meters
  • 02m 10s / 100 meters
Comments:

Got bashed around. And swam around 350m rather than 300 but all good. Was hard to get my breath to be honest and I only really settled into a solid stroke when i was near the end. Guess thats what happens when you are used to swimming longer distances.
What would you do differently?:

nothing.
Transition 1
  • 01m 50s
Comments:

I was smoking. Most girls took at least another 20 seconds more than i did, and I thought i was taking my time!
What would you do differently?:

not spew while putting on my shoes.

Comments:

felt like a slug. Just couldn't get comfortable.
What would you do differently?:

Transition 2
  • 01m 15s

Comments:

Didn't feel the best. But really happy with the time that i did.
What would you do differently?:

try to push harder i guess.
Post race
Warm down:

walk around the tri area.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Was not really at my peak this race. It was done as a bit of fun with a group of mates. And fun i had. It was fun pushing hte body that hard and fast. I guess in long course races you find your comfort zone and push on. But today i had to keep pushing because i really didn't want tim to catch me and knew he couldn't be far behind me.

Event comments:

SO. MUCH. FUN!
