Name = Old gamer name when from when I was really fat and Appa is Korean for pappa (yes like the song)

Pic = I got guns.

pic is the Mrs and I after an OWS in a beautiful lake around the home. She is a great swimmer...almost a fish....and helped me get my swim in order and survive the HIM!!

I too was under the impression that avatar meant user id - but according to wisegeek.com ...it is the graphical representation...

user name/id: my initials plus a way to distinguish myself from others but easy to remember...I added the "t" when I got married to "dt" :-D

Avatar - long legged, blonde we have around the house.  Will always be my first puppy :-D  His name is Jake, he is greyhound-lab mix and he weighs about 65-70 lb. and is scared of lots of things... 

As for the name it is just my first, MI, Last.

As for the photo, it was taken last year a sprint tri. It was my first time on the podium and had to bring my daughter with me to get my award. She enjoyed it as much as I did.

Like most, my user name is my first initial and last name.

The current avatar pic is from Da Vinci's Vitruvian Man. I was trying to think of some thing to paint on my disc covers and came up with the idea of a Vitruvian Man re-done as a triathlete. I'll change it again when I find something worthwhile.

My name is my attitude about triathlon.

Username is what it says, literally. I'm a runner, and have been so since age 10. Triathlete since 40. "Hot" refers to the temperatures I train in, not my opinion of my looks or speed. Though there is a story on that one--When I was first trying to get in shape in Saigon, I was finishing an hour run and almost dead of heat exhaustion. An elderly taxi driver sitting in the shade near his car drinking iced coffee (I was tempted to grab it from him) and wearing, oddly, a cowboy hat and boots, stood up as I passed, grinned, and said in a perfect Texas drawl, "Hey baby, hot legs!" Still not sure if it was real or I hallucinated it.

Avatar: The original cow head avatar was from a friend's husband's NGO; it involves saving endangered species in SE Asia. It's an endangered species of wild cow from Cambodia. The newer one is the finish of the Bintan Tri (Oly) in Indonesia last year. Hottest race I've ever done (37C, which is pushing triple digits).  I'd absolutely had it and was just glad to finish, past caring, really, about anything but the cold beer awaiting me at the finish.  Then the photographer said, "Come'on (my race number), look like you're happy to be here!" So I started getting goofy for the camera in the last few meters. It's also the wave I do to try to get the attention of oncoming cars and motorbikes. "HELLL--LLLOOO! Do you REALLY want to hit me?!"
