Subject: Has the light ever gone out on you...?!?!?

Description meant to be humorous...but may be a bit detailed...WARNING

Short back story: Over the past few months my body has become intolerant to egg yolks and most dairy.  What goes in...must come out...fast...usually.

Today: I was out delivering fliers to local running stores.  I was at a (newer) shopping center area and need to go - I don't think it'll be pretty...don't want to go into the running store and straight to the bathroom, so I go into the public restroom.  I don't think this one gets a whole lot of use - pretty nice and clean!

I was in there for awhile...and then the lights went out.  I had my phone...  I tried opening the stall door, but it only opened in - so the movement didn't set the motion sensor off.  I didn't really want to pull up garments and get things...messy...but I didn't really want to walk out into the bathroom without garments pulled up and then the bathroom that nobody uses...would become the perfect time for someone else to walk in.

Saved by the iPhone light of the screen...was able to check progress before shuffling out the stall to get the lights to turn on...another Apple win :-P

Last week before church I headed to the rest room as I went in a little boy was just about to walk out, no sooner did I step to the stall and start to pee did the kid wank out and turn off the light.  Very dark and I did not have my phone. I did a good job finding my way to the door with no light before anyone walked in and wondered what I was doing in the church bathroom with the lights off.

At my work we have motion sensors and  timers on the lights.  I think it's 5 minutes.  Usually someone shuffles in and out but at lunch time the building clears out and I eat at my desk so if it hits me it can go out sometimes.  Thankfully I usually have my Kindle or phone so I can have some light and not complete pitch black to finish and make my way out.

We have timers on our lights too.  On a couple of occasions It has gone out on me.  I just sat and waited for someone else to come in while I was on BT on my phone.

The upstairs bathroom at our place has the light switch on the outside. It's common practice to try and get a reaction by turning of the light while someone is in there. Innocent

Regularly. I have never been "quick". I like a little peace and quiet, a little alone time, play a little solitaire (literal not firguretive!)..... lights out. Doesn't even phase me.

One of my memories from 140.6 was helping to christen a port-o-potty before sun-up...and as you know, there are no lights in those things.  Having the honor of ripping the paper that seals the potty to let you know you are #1 is a nice feeling.

The light in my office is a sensor and doesn't pick me up at my desk.  So, it occasionally goes out on me.  All I have to do is raise my right arm and wave it around and it comes right back on.  Usually makes me laugh.

Sometimes I find it relaxing to poo in complete darkness.  Especially in a public place.  then when someone enters thinking they are alone, I can scare the bejeezus out of them.  (Or would that be scare the poo out of them)?
