Subject: Be Iron Fit Plan and races

Hi BT!  I'm signed up for IMCoz in Nov and I'll be using Fink's competitive plan.  If I stick to the plan exactly I should have an OLY on 9/2 (wk 18) and a HIM on 9/30 (wk 22).  Instead I chose an OLY on 8/26 and HIM on 9/23, both a week before scheduled in the plan.

Shouldn't be a big deal right?   Should I just keep the schedule how it is and do the scheduled sunday workouts on wk 17 & 21 the following week (when the races should have been)?  I know, sounds confusing...but forgive meI'm not good at putting my thoughts into writing!

Thanks!

That is no problem. These plans are a guide. Make it work for you.

Nope, not a problem at all, just switch the weeks around a bit to match your races and you should be all set!

Thanks!  It's my 1st IM so I'm just checking if I didn't make a mistake...probably thinking way too much into it, though.

I'm doing the same plan and my races are off, too. (And my Oly race has a two-person canoe instead of a swim but that sounds way more fun!!) I figure it can't be possible for EVERYONE who does that plan to make their races line up perfectly, and I'm not going to travel halfway across the country as opposed to doing a local race just to make it fit the plan.
