Transition 1
Comments: N/A. Missed that since one of my strengths is transition, I *theoretically* lost time against the field here. Bike
Comments: Really thought I would have an overall faster ride, in spite of the headwind going out. Rode very strong 2nd half with tailwind. What would you do differently?: Be a little tougher. Transition 2
Comments: Took about 2 extra seconds to get shoes on. New Zoots. Liked them overall, though. Tied for 1st in AG for T2. Run
Comments: Walked a total of about 20 seconds...a few steps early on because I had a moment of mental weakness, and a few seconds to get water at aid station. Otherwise, I felt like I was running steady, though not fast. This is so much my limiter. What would you do differently?: Not walk. Post race
Warm down: Stand around and visit and walk to keep the blood moving. Then beer. :) What limited your ability to perform faster: Not a strong runner. Headwinds going out. Event comments: Great race. Very well organized. Swim cancellation not a huge issue...totally understandable, given the conditions. Stayed at Omni Marina hotel...easy to get to/from race site and expo...would recommend it.
