Swim
Comments: Tried to go out hard and it didn't work out for me, slow and steady I think is my better strategy, it took too long for me to get my heart rate under control and swim well. Sighting was good and I did draft a bit. Transition 1
Comments: Transition didn't feel this long, I guess I could have run more out of the water. Putting on socks took a long time, my feet were freezing. Bike
Comments: Felt great on the bike, got in lots of aero on the 2nd loop, passed a bunch of people on hill. Even stopped to give someone with a flat one of my spare tubes. Only thing was I needed to eat more to carry me through the run. Transition 2
Comments: Didn't feel this long, but overall I was happy with my efficiency. Run
Comments: Really needed to eat more, I was hungry and felt out of juice on the run, kept pushing myself though, which I'm happy about. Post race

Woke up at 3am, ate/drank on the way there, had a starbucks double shot, a large mug of coffee and a smoothie (kale, carrots, berries, orange juice, protein powder, banana, greek yogurt). At the race site ate a waffle sandwich with peanut butter, nutella and banana. Got there around 5:20 and checked in, set up transition area, put on sunscreen etc. Put off putting on wetsuit until as late as possible, 7am, as it was very cold.
Got in the water to get used to it, should have swam more.
