Comments:

seeded swim. first 50m was brutal - put my swim time in as 9' - and people were hesitant to let you move up in line to go. Past 3 people within first 75m and then I was able to get into a rhythm. 7:33 is a PR for a race time. Had a leaky goggle that I was fixing every 50m towards the end.
Transition 1
  • 02m
Comments:

too slow. fulled around with arm warmers, for a few seconds, finally said the heck with them and didn't need them. could have been a little quicker here.
Bike
  • 48m 4s
  • 15.53 miles
  • 19.39 mile/hr
Comments:

a head wind on way out and right after turn around. But it was at my back too. good ride, the long hill got me, could have been a bit quicker up. But, PR on the ride for a race as well.
Transition 2
  • 01m 5s
Comments:

pretty quick through T2. shoes were off and on quickly.
Run
  • 30m 27s
  • 3.32 miles
  • 09m 10s  min/mile
Comments:

first s/b/r race, so I took it a bit easy on run to start. stomach was sloshing around so didn't want to get sick. Once I got going, felt better and ran a faster mile 2 and 3. Slower than I was hoping for on the run, but happy with results.
What would you do differently?:

need to run a bit more, more long runs and add some faster runs in there as well.

Event comments:

a fun time. enjoyed getting out and racing again. can't believe I was 12/13 in my age group. the run killed me in the group but swim/bike was pretty competitive. fun to watch my wife and daughter compete on a team as well! May just have to move to team tri and have my daughter run for me - as she hammered out a 28:18 run. AMAZING!

Thanks for the report.  Good Job.

I tried to go swim Monday afternoon and saw the transition markings in the parking lot Yell

Was it pretty well organized? Who was causing the swim hold up?  The racers or the orgaizers? Did they go chipless again?

Nice race Jeremy.  Great to PR the bike and still get a good run in there.
