Pre-race routine:

Rode about 5-10 minutes on the trainer two hours prior. Got all my stuff together.
Event warmup:

Warmed up by doing about 200 yards in the pool. Increased speed as I went. Tried to do some intense yards without using too much energy.

Went well...I paced myself throughout the entire event well and made sure to slow down and save energy for the bike.

Took it downtown. Over 300 watts 20 min average and 294 watts over 30 minutes. Paced about 22.8 MPH, which is the fastest time I have ever posted over this distance.

Quite a few cramps. Could have ran quite a bit faster but for those damn cramps. Gave it my all though.

Try to figure out the GI issues.

Warm down:

Stretch. Eat a banana. Drink some gatorade. Prepare my gear to leave.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Cramps on run.

Event comments:

Did a lot better than last year. Shaved off around fifteen minutes and placed #1!
