The dates are in the post above--6/23-24.  There are 2 other tris I'm aware of that actually take place in Philly.  One is a women's only tri and the other is the Philadelphia Independence Tri, both in July.

question for those who did it last year, did you wear wetsuits?

everyone from BT who's doing this should get together a few times and do some training, thatd be cool

The swim was cancelled last year, but the water temp would have made it a no-wetsuit race anyway. Wetsuits were allowed the year before. You just gotta love a down stream with the current wetsuit legal swim.

Last year's sprint was my first TRI. Just tell people around you in the transition area and you'll get alot of support.

Good luck

A lot of rain the week before the race and a lot of debris in the water. The Schuylkil was full of tree limbs and garbage moving fast. It definitely would have been a 1.5K swim PR.

They called the swim off the morning of the race while everyone was setting up in the transition area. When I arrived the swim was still on, but going to be no-wetsuit because of water temp.

For anyone interested in monitoring the water temp and quality of the Schuylkill...
