Swim
Comments: First time in OWS, and first time swimming in a wetsuit. Had a panic attack, and ended up not being able to put my face in the water. I swam the whole thing using side stroke, back stroke, and doggie paddle. What would you do differently?: Practice both OWS and swimming in a wetsuit. I just need more experience. Transition 1
Comments: I didn't realize that my T1 time ended and bike time started right out of transition, so I finished getting my shoes adjusted and rested for a minute outside of T1 with my bike. So really my T1 time was a bit longer than recorded and my bike time was shorter. What would you do differently?: A lot Bike
Comments: I felt pretty good on the bike. There were a lot of hills, but it wasn't too bad. What would you do differently?: Wait until I'm ready to ride before leaving transition. Transition 2
Comments: Went pretty well. What would you do differently?: Maybe get lock laces for running shoes. Run
Comments: I felt like I had a pretty good run. Considering I had never done a brick workout, my legs took some time to get some feeling back. What would you do differently?: I need to do some brick workouts. Post race
Warm down: Just ate some cookies and drank some gatorade. I had to leave pretty early, and didn't think that I would place, (let alone win my age division) so I didn't stick around for the awards ceremony. What limited your ability to perform faster: My panic attack in the water Last updated: 2012-04-30 12:00 AM

Up by 2am and left the house at 5am, after having coffee and a granola bar.
The walk to the start/transition was far enough to be a warm up. Hubby and I swam 50-100 yards in wetsuits, since we had never worn them before.
