This was my first day back from a week off to recover from the flu. Fever broke on Thursday morning after 5 days of fighting it which was a huge relief because I debated on Weds whether I would participate at all.

Run was about what I would have expected. I found the pacer's and debated on latching on to the 8:30 or 8:45 group. Opted for the 8:45 which turned out to be the right move. Legs were a little weak still from being sick I guess and I don't think I could have held on at 8:30 for very long.

The pacer's split away at the 8 mile mark and continue on the Full Marathon path so the last 5 miles I was on my own. Slowed to 9 almost right away and held that for a few miles. Could feel my legs begin to cramp so I eased up some more knowing that sub 2 hours was going to happen. Believe the last mile was around a 10 something, not sure.


Not get sick a week before the race.
