Great swim this morning. I swam in a full wet suit for just over 20 minutes and didn't think the water temperature was too bad. My swim today was much better than last weekend. I'm feeling much more confident about the swim now. A hope to get a few more sessions in the lake. Maybe I'll see some of you out next weekend.

I agree, Kent Lake felt great Saturday in a full wetsuit.  I even ditched my neoprene booties after a few minutes Smile  The water felt much warmer than what was reported on the website we've been discussing in this thread.  And I'm kind of a sissy about cold.

michgirlsk - 2012-05-11 6:21 PM Okay, trying to decide if I want to do the Island Lake tri... quite frankly, water temp will probably end up being the determining factor for me...  I know extended forecasts have their errors, but..... accuweather.com has the whole week leading up to the race as high temps in the 80s, lows mid-50s.  Based on that, any guesses as to what Kent Lake's water temp might be for the race?!

I'm wondering if I'll feel too warm in a full suit by that time!  The water really, really isn't bad at all.  It was also great to meet and swim with Amy, Mike, and Chris.  I'll be back out Thursday after work if anyone wants some OWS time.
