Comments: I haven't done a half marathon for 5 years so I had no idea how my body was going to respond. Kept an even pace throughout the race. Course was a little long. No biggie. Race began 5 minutes early so I had to walk/shuffle for the first 1/2 mile. That was kind of a bummer. Once I got running, I settled into a nice pace. I ended up with a very hefty PR! What would you do differently?: Nothing! I'm super happy! Post race

Night before race:
Ate baked potato with cottage cheese, grilled chicken breast and broccoli. Yum!
Morning of race:
Ate oatmeal 3 hours before race. Ate half peanut butter and jelly sandwich 2 hours before race. The hour before the race I drank about half a bottle of gatorade. 10 minutes before race, I ate a Gu.
Walking around. I didn't bother to run as a warm up. Too many people around.
