Those drainage grates scare the bejeebus out of me! Esp the ones along Hwy 1 out by Jenner/Bodega Bay... no shoulder to speak of, and heavy heavy traffic! And, seriously, good thing the bike is ok. I go into the dentise on tursday, and the swelling has gone down a lot. and yes the avatar picture is from Wildflower 2006. Thanks for all the "get wells." |

Here's one for you: I had just bought new pedals and shoes and went on a big charity ride. A large group of riders came up to a stop sign, myself included. We expected to be able to just slow down and cross, when a car came FLYING around a turn. I got caught between pedaling and stopping and didn't have time to unclip (the new pedals were tighter than I was used to). I literally fell on my side and remained unable to unclip from the pedals...now I know what a turtle feels like when it's flipped on its back. Glad you're alright! |
