Never done the race, but was in town a couple years back and rode the course.  The first climb out of town is "fun" after that it isn't terrible.  I think I hit ~50 mph on my road bike coming back down that first climb at the end of the ride.

Cornick- if you want some good details on the course or race in general message rascosm (she recently posted on the IMLP thread).  She's done it at least the last 3 years so knows the course and area inside and out.

I'm actually unsure.  So if you can't tell from the names, she's my mom actually, and we had originally planned to do Tupper and LP.  I switched to doing an earlier HIM because I knew I would not be able to hold back on the run and didn't want to risk not recovering in time for LP.   So as of the last time we talked about it she was flip flopping on whether she was going to do it or not.

Pre rode the course yesterday, love it!  It's a fast one, that's for sure and the shoulder is really wide so it's very safe.  The section of town gets a little rough though.
