Pre-race routine:

Love having races literally in your back yard. Drove down with Ashley and Kevin and waited for the start.

Event warmup:

Nothing except the short walk from the parking garage to Phi Beta Kappa Hall where the start was.

Comments:

Really only did this race so my oldest, Ashely, would have someone to do it with. Didn't really care about my time. Started in the front of the pack and I think that may have helped push me a bit. With this race being a national championship, there were a lot of the older AG people up with us and I made it a point to not let them pass me! Worked for the most part. Happy with my time.

What would you do differently?:

Could have pushed a bit harder. At least I didn't let the older people pass me!

Warm down:

Walked down to where the food was, but wasn't really excited about BBQ and beer at 900 in the morning so we grabbed our stuff and went home.
