Swim
Comments: This was a PB for me. The swim has always been my weakness… felt ok. Loving my new goggles! What would you do differently?: More training. Need to make ALL of my sessions. I just need to get more confident. Transition 1
What would you do differently?: Don't worry about the sweater next time. Deal with the cool breeze. It got stuck on my wet arms and turned into a bit of a waste of time. Turned out this decision may have been the difference between first woman across the line and me… difference was only 17 seconds. Bike
Comments: Not my style course. I don't do corners as aggressively as I need to but this went well. Considering the time includes both transitions I was happy with it. I always wish the bike course was longer. Love it! What would you do differently?: Need to become even more agressive cornering. Think this is coming along but need more confidence, just like in the pool. Transition 2
Run
Comments: Not used to running on grass or sand. May have gone with a more grippy shoe than my kinvaras but did the best I could. Was stunned my the amount of people walking. What would you do differently?: I was happy with this. Just need to learn to push harder... I don't think the Garmin on multisports setting gives me a running pace every km... I will NEED that for my longer races. Going to have to figure that out. Post race
Warm down: Eating… fabulous food this year. Watched the draw prizes. One year it will be my turn. Sara won something! What limited your ability to perform faster: As always, nerves and anxiety hold me back. It was the first race of the year… but now I sound like I'm making excuses. Last updated: 2012-04-26 12:00 AM

Cuddled Trevor and occasionally Sara or a passing stranger to try and keep warm. No complaining though, it was MUCH nicer out than the last time I did this race.
