"'Like'"

...and I give serious PROPS to anyone who finished that damn swim. I was consciously thinking that the whole time on the run and looking at people and faces.

An easier (or less windy) IM and this guy would have finished with time to spare. I hope he hears Reilly call his name one day.

About 5 years ago I was watching my brother at Canada. He finished in around 12 hours, but insisted that I headed back to the course for the last hour or two. That day I swore I would never do triathlons, but the last hour always stuck with me... Now here I am 5 years later and soon competing in my first HIM with a goal of finishing an IM in 2013 and hopefully even qualify for Kona one day.

Thanks for the story and video it was a great reminder of that day...

OMG just watched the video link - crying sobbing, the little boy in his red cap - so so cute.  He would be so proud.  Doesn't matter how long it took - well done!

Magic indeed...that just made my whole week.

I'll never forget the morning after finishing my first and only IM...my 11 year old daughter came and sat on the foot of my bed...and then she said "Dad, last night I couldn't fall asleep because I just kept thinking over and over "l can't believe what my Dad just did".

When I'm an old man looking back at my life, I'm pretty sure that moment will be in the top 5 I remember...

This is impressive.  Must have made you so proud and happy.

My eye-watering allergies appear to have kicked up all of a sudden.

Fantastic bit of magic. Glad you got to see it and we got to hear about it.

Dude that's awesome! That's definitely a moment that boy will never forget! I'm not sure the word 'magic' even begins to describe that.

Pretty awesome!

Wonder if there is way through the magic & power of BT to find out who this guy is, and make sure he sees the video (and maybe this thread)??
