No need to list "chest size" or "booty," but would other body geometry make it a bad idea? I fit all the measurements. It looks like it's going to be quite warm at my tri in June, and last year it was quite warm and I nearly suffocated in my full orca, so I'm looking at a sleeveless. A men's XS is about a hundred bucks cheaper than a similar women's model.

Thoughts?

Can you try one on?

I second to try them on if you can - if you're getting Xterra, you can try them on, then return them if they don't fit.

I am going to assume that the upper torso area will be longer for men's version and the top part will be wider, and less hip room.   The women's version is a bit "curvy", not really busty, but more of woman's curves.

Other than that, I don't see why it wouldn't work if it fits you fine, then go for it. :-)

it may just fit.  When I got my 1st suit they didn't make womens specific and found one to fit.  I also have a male friend who fits better in a womens suit quite nicely due to being a long-legged freak.

All of my suits save one (and that one never fit right) have been men's.

I think you should be fine.  A few of the differences I have noticed is the neck hole and arm holes are wider/larger in the men's.  I currently have one men's and one women's, thanks to a bit of weight loss.  I moved into the women's but miss the features I mentioned, mainly the bigger neck opening.  My women's suit feels like it is choking me (but that is just me, I'm sure not all women's suits choke people, LOL!).

Pretty much no reason it should be avoided...

But just like a selection of women's suits there will be some that fit right and some that don't.

Sweet! Will let y'all know if it fits when it arrives. I can return it, but I'll have to pay for return shipping and whatnot. I figured it was worth the $50 gamble, vs putting $150+ into one at Sports Basement when I'm not entirely sure I'll be doing many more tris. If it ends up being bigger in the arm and neck, I think I'd be fine with that (so long as it doesn't turn into a massive water parachute). The water temp is going to be mid-70's, air temp probably a little less than that. I mostly want the buoyancy in the legs and a little core insulation.

x2. My first was a men's sleeveless and it fit fine, except it started to bust apart at the seams.

Since you'll be able to try it on, you can see if it fits (try to get it into open water ... as stated, men's tend to have bigger neck and armholes, and they might wind up letting the suit take on water, which you won't know unless you swim in it).

Just purchased my first wetsuit. Got it from Wetsuit Outlet and it's a men's xs Orca Pflex sleeveless.   I got it for $99 on clearance, marked down from hundreds more.  I've only tested it once but just love it so far.  I'm not a curvy gal, so the men's one seems to fit just fine.
