Start 2 Finish
Total Time = 1h 03m 40s
Overall Rank = /
Age Group = 25-29
Age Group Rank = 3/29
Pre-race routine:

I ate some yummy breakfast casserole that my mom made (stayed at my parents for this race). Drank some coffee and then mostly water until I got to the site.
Event warmup:

Jogged about a mile and a half, rode my bike for 15 minutes, and swam to the halfway point and back.
Swim
  • 08m 26s
  • 440 yards
  • 01m 55s / 100 yards
Comments:

My swim has finally gotten to the point to where I can keep up with the faster guys in my age group. I possibly could have pushed a bit harder, but this was definitely the best swim I've ever had in a tri.
What would you do differently?:

Not much. Over time I'll just keep improving.
Transition 1
  • 00m 46s
Comments:

Had the second fastest T1 in my AG. Can't complain there!
What would you do differently?:

Nothing.
Bike
  • 33m
  • 13 miles
  • 23.64 mile/hr
Comments:

I had 13 miles on my bike computer, and that's what everyone around me seemed to have as well. My bike has definitely been getting stronger, which is encouraging as I find it to be my strongest point.
What would you do differently?:

This is something that will just keep improving with time.
Transition 2
  • 01m 3s
Comments:

Could have been a bit faster, but still solid.
What would you do differently?:

I'm guessing these guys are high tailing it out of here. Guess I need to move it when seconds count!
Run
  • 20m 25s
  • 3 miles
  • 06m 49s  min/mile
Comments:

Pretty solid for the speed that I was going on the bike. Getting better at the bike to run transition.
What would you do differently?:

I need to get more training in running off the bike. People say that there isn't a fitness attributed to it, but I'm becoming more of a believe in brick workouts.
Post race
Warm down:

Jogged for a little bit and stretched. I needed to recover ASAP, as I had the Olympic the next day!

What limited your ability to perform faster:

In a race this short, all you can do is push as hard as you can. I feel like I gave it what I had.
