I may be biased, but I would recommend My Way or the Tri Way. We have lots of perks for spectators, including a sign making station and loaner cowbells so they can cheer their athletes through the race, a jumpy castle for the kids, an awesome BBQ with meal tickets for purchase by spectators (it's free for athletes), a nice expo with lots of vendors, and the venue is beautiful!

The option to choose the order you swim, bike, and run (or you can skip one of those and choose a 2-sport option) means the transition area is a flurry of activity throughout the morning, so spectators will stay entertained while you are out of view as well.

www.thetriway.com or www.racingunderground.com will get you there!

If you like to stalk local pro's Boulder Peak is GREAT.  For the pro race, they do a mile out an back instead of 3.1 miles out and back like the AG'ers do.  This means you can watch the pro race run pretty easily.

Greeley Triathlon is a good spectator race.  The swim is in a very small pond with a time trial start and plenty of vantage points around it.  Both the bike and run course are easy to see, and you can watch the runners at multiple points in the race.  Also, since it's a sprint, you're only out there for an hour.

My way or the Tri way is a good one for sure - So many different people coming and going all the action really is around the transition.

I was impressed with the Denver Tri this weekend too. Even with T1 and T2 a mile or two apart the way the bike course wrapped around Mile high and the Run too - gave a good field of view for people.
