BrianRunsPhilly - 2012-06-29 2:27 PM Pictures are in!

You look fast!

Looks are deceiving

The video of the finish is actually decent, it shows me and this other guy racing each other across the finish. Would have been cool if they had caught us shaking hands afterwards.

That is cool.  post it?

When did they start posting videos? I just watched Andy Potts cross the finish line. I also saw what must have been the Clydes division coming out of the water.

You realize this is really going out on a limb, and the rest of the pictures are the usual I-look-like-crap photos. But have a giggle on me, you see us heading to the finish around 17 seconds into the video.

That's hilarious.  The guy in the orange shirt is high fiving and dancing around and you and the bald guy look like you're racing in a 100 yard dash!

I prescribe some track work; you gotta lengthen that stride.

Way to finish strong Brian!

Thanks. If I can't win, at least I can amuse. I didn't notice the goofball dancing around, that's really funny. My favorite picture is the one coming into T1 out of the water where you can clearly see my bellybutton through the trisuit.

Class, all class, that's my mantra. Now pull my finger.

Hey, btw, thanks for the info before the race.  I managed to get a reasonable preview of the course by starting Friday at 6am and taking your suggestions into consideration.  Philly was only my 2nd Tri, and I'm still on a post-race high for beating my goal by over 12 minutes.  My swim & bike were the best I could have imagined.  My transitions weren't bad considering how much ground we had to cover in T1 & T2.  And I survived the run by switching to a race-walk after about 1.5 miles (between the heat and my knee problems, it was the right thing to do.)  I did the fastest race-walk that I've ever done, and only was 4-5 minutes slower than I had anticipated if I managed to run most of it.

Loved the water temp!!  I'm so sorry that my first half is scheduled to be in icy cold Old Orchard Beach this August.  Next season, I stick to warm water races.

Speaking of next season, hope to give Philly another Tri.

Everyone ready? I'm just going to suffer through, I have been overwhelmed at work the last two weeks and have not done much. Although if the water flow stays this high, I won't need to swim, I can just float downstream.

I'm looking forward to it! It'll be my first tri.

I'm a little concerned about the rain later this week. What are the odds this becomes a run-bike-run? I really don't want a duathlon.

If it turns into a duathlon, I'm sleeping in.

Turned into an awesome weekend for racing. Hope you all had fun. I was handed a cold beer as soon as I came out of the finish chute.
