Subject: Mooseman International Triathlon : Official Thread

Who's in?  I am doing the Oly on Sat (M45-49).  Weather is not looking the best (cool and rain).  I dont mind a shower or lite rain as long as its not a steady rain or thunder/lightning and I certainly dont want a repeat of 2 years ago.  Water temp looks good though.  Should be high 60's or low 70's (could be warmer then the air).

Not racing this year...but I did swim the lake last weekend...was fine with a wetsuit...around 67 degrees...have a great race!

I'm doing the Oly too (55-59). I'm hoping the rain holds off until the run, but whatever happens is fine with me. What happened two years ago?

Bad thunderstorm and they had to cancel the swim, shorten the bike and delayed the start by several hours.  Transition area was underwater and roads were in bad shape as a result.   If you search, there are lots of threads about it.

Just got an update on this on my Facebook page. 

There will be a new name and Pursuit Racing (Wallis Sands Tri) and Tritanium Sports will be teaming up to bring back Mooseman.  Wellington Park and Bristol nh will once again be home to the HIM and Oly distance tri festival in June and will feature the same swim and old bike course from 2009.  However, WTC is requiring the race be re-named. 

That's the jist of what is on the facebook page.  Didn't find much else from googling just yet.
