How long do you keep them on your bike?

Until I'm packing after the race. Then they come off.

I still have the tiny one on the front of my bike from IM Wisconsin 2010. You can't really see it, which is why I never took it off.

But what irked me, speaking of bike stickers, is one that the Kansas City 5i50 tri made us put on our top tubes. It is NOT of the easily-removable variety like most, and the bottom layer is stuck like glue. I shouldn't need Goo Gone for a race sticker, IMO!

Take them off when I get home and clean the bike....its been a few days or a few months depending on when I get around to it.

After a full IM it might be weeks until I get back on that thing

Well then I guess I'll be taking mine off tonight. They have been on since last summer IMLP. I have a sprint on Sunday and I am cleaning my bike.

The stem stickers are still on...They used to do much nicer stickers with the race logo....circa 2002 and 2004....still on my old bike.   The newer version isn't as nice... I suppose if they were an eyesore to me, they would come off.  Now, the bigger bike numbers and helmet numbers come off immediately.  I hate to see people riding around with an old number on their helmet.

Went home and checked - I still have the stem sticker on my old bike from IMFL 2011.

You are supposed to take them off? You are talking about the little race sticker, not the number right? Mine is never coming off (partially because the sticker says "Kona" on it and I may never get back). Keeping it as a record of my IM history. Someday this bike will hang on the wall of my workout room as art and I want the IM stickers to be there. Probably is a faux pas but that is what I am doing.

Ummm...  What little race sticker?  Did I miss something?  All I got was the sticker for my number.

So funny that you posted this!  I think of it as my bike tattoo.  I'll put the next one on top of the old one.  It's small, and a fun reminder of a long day(s)

HOWEVER, at IMSG this year....they didn't have it.  Are they getting rid of it?!?

Please don't multiple numbers on your bike.  The last couple years I have volunteered in T2 at IMAZ, we need to quickly know the number of the bike.  A good amount of people had those stickers on from previous Ironmans and their bikes were mis-racked or caused confusion.

My bike was misracked one of the last 2 years as they read the sticker upside down. Caused a bit of grief for my husband and volunteers.

The volunteers are looking at the tiny sticker on the bike stem and not the huge number on the bike frame or seat post?    Sorry, my little stickers are staying on...and I think if it says Ironman Lake Placid, the volunteer at Ironman Florida can figure it out. Have never had my bike mis-racked.
