Run
Transition 1
Swim
Comments: I don't get it. Just because someone can swim a couple of strokes of freestyle does not mean they can swim in open water. Some jerkoff was weeving all over the course and not sighting worth a damn. Oh well... My swim felt OK, but I could tell my shoulders were tired today. I felt like I had no power. What would you do differently?: Not sure, It might have just been an off night. Not to mention I normally swim in the morning. I don't know if that has anything to do with it. Transition 2
Comments: This really sucked! I lost a lot of time trying to get my wetsuit off in the dirt transition. I need to do something about the ankles. What would you do differently?: Practice swim to run/bike transitions. I was very disoriented following the swim that I could barely hold my balance. Run
Comments: The run felt good considering my back has felt funny for the last week or so. I felt fast in the last two miles but the first mile hurt a lot. What would you do differently?: Stretch more consistantly so that I can keep my back in check. Post race
Warm down: Not much to report. In hindsight I should have stretched a lot more after the race. What limited your ability to perform faster: I had a below average swim and a barely average run. I would hope that feel more fresh for the next one. Event comments: This was a fun race, I wish I would have done these last year and I hope that my next project doesn't make it too difficult to do the whole series. Last updated: 2006-05-10 12:00 AM

Got off work a little early(4:00pm) so I went to Chatfield and got set up.
I did a short run with Mark and Julia and then got in the water and swam 3/4 of the way to the first bouy.
