Sunny
Total Time = 2h 37m 13s
Overall Rank = 76/184
Age Group = 35-39
Age Group Rank = 3/9
Pre-race routine:

Up at 5, coffee, breakfast, sammich and nanner before.
Event warmup:

Talk.
Swim
  • 26m 29s
  • 1500 meters
  • 01m 46s / 100 meters
Comments:

Never have I swum in a group that never thinned out. There were always people in front, on the side, and behind me bumping and kicking. It wasn't a rude thing, it was just constant people. Sighting was difficult. I couldn't see the big bouys, just the swim zone bouys. (thank goodness for them!) After the first 200, I at least fell into my groove.
What would you do differently?:

I think I could have pushed it more on the swim especially toward the middle and end.
Transition 1
  • 01m 31s
Comments:

I thought I forgot something. It seemed to easy. I actually stood there for a second trying to figure out what I forgot, but I didn't.
What would you do differently?:

Have confidence in how I laid my stuff out.
Bike
  • 1h 19m 24s
  • 24.85 miles
  • 18.78 mile/hr
Comments:

Legs instantly felt tired on the bike from the day before so I didn't push as hard as I should have. I thought I'd really be burning on the run.
What would you do differently?:

Not race the day before!
Transition 2
  • 01m 17s
Comments:

unknown time -determined from garmin.

Get out of pedals with the correct foot next time!!!!
What would you do differently?:

Go with my other shoes to run sockless
Run
  • 48m 30s
  • 6.21 miles
  • 07m 49s  min/mile
Comments:

Ran comfortable today, not hard. This was a mistake. I kicked myself the rest of the day. I thought I was going to be more tired than I was.
What would you do differently?:

Go for it--always go for it. I held back and used the wrong shoes. I really thought I'd be wasted from the Warrior Dash the day before, but I obviously wasn't
Post race
Warm down:

Talked with all the BT peeps!

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Racing the day before at the WD and assuming too much of my body and not listening to what it's telling me at the moment.

Event comments:

The boy scouts were great! Such a big help. This is the quietest race ever. It's easy to get lulled into thinking you're training instead of racing.

Also, first time with all liquid nutrition. It worked well, but I had worries with all the stomach issues I have had of late. It must just be what I have been eating.

I think the WD was the reason why we did the Sprint last year at this event?  In any case, you are smokin fast!  Thanks for dressing up too!
