Overall Rank = /
Age Group = 45-49
Age Group Rank = 1/9
Event warmup:

Rode about 3 miles, did a few pickups, rode up god awful hill. Ran about a mile with some pickups. Swam 100yds
Swim
  • 13m 4s
  • 300 yards
  • 04m 22s / 100 yards
Comments:

Need to swim more so I can go a little harder.
Transition 1
  • 02m 14s
Comments:

New cleats helped. Clipped in fast. Had a long run to the bike, but ran fairly well.
Bike
  • 51m 37s
  • 18 miles
  • 20.92 mile/hr
Comments:

Rode fairly well. Was hoping for 21 or better. Almost. Could have pushed a little harder.
What would you do differently?:

Push harder on the bike. To worried about being too tired on the run. Keep doing the interval work.1
Transition 2
  • 01m 7s
Comments:

Pretty good transition. Piddled around a little after I got my shoes on.
Run
  • 25m 19s
  • 3.1 miles
  • 08m 10s  min/mile
Comments:

Not bad considering lack of speed work and hill. Shoes feel good.
What would you do differently?:

Not much more I could have done. I was whipped at the end.
Post race
Warm down:

Walked around, got massage

What limited your ability to perform faster:

training and being too darn fat!

Event comments:

Super nice race, nice town. Will definitely go back. Don't make the mistake of thinking that this will be a flat coastal course.

Nice work!  That hill at the beginning of the bike and run is a really hurts.  Glad you enjoyed the race/Fairhope. Congrats on an excellent result.

Thanks. You had a great race as well. Sure wish I could ride like that. I'd be so thrilled to just average 22 in a race at some point.
