I work in Dearborn so getting to Brighton by 5:30 is nigh impossible. =( Sounds like a blast, though! I should come later to cheer all you guys on! =D

@ Miles I drive that route everyday, Redford to Brighton/Hamburg everyday. The urge to hit construction barrels on a daily basis is very high again this year. Yell

I am in for the series. This will actually be my first outdoor tri. The first one is unfortunately going to be done with a full mountain bike setup, knobby tires and everything. The 2nd one i hope to at lease have cycle shoes and some slick tires on the mtb. And the final one I will hopfully have my road bike by then. I am interested to see how significantly different my bike times will be.

I would've liked to have done T-Rex, but have a commitment that evening that I was afraid would be a conflict.  Unfortunately, didn't want to sign up for July or August races because they are both 3 or 4 days in front of some of my other races, and didn't want to overdo it!

Good luck everyone...I tried out the whole course (and more) last night in the heat.  Stay hydrated!

Its gonna be a hot one!

Gonna be interesting how the legs hold up for me as I ran the Ann Arbor Half Marathon on Sunday. Been trying to focus on recovery last couple days, right leg has been tight last couple days though, kind of wish I had one more day. Oh well, use it as a solid training day if anything.

I've done several of the dino races and love the live music, awards and course.  There are only 2 things I take issue with.  First is transition.  The layout is bad in that there are lots of horrible spots.  All 4 ins/outs are at one end.  I of course always get stuck in the last row.  My other beef is the whole "elite" wave thing.  If you decide you want to be in that wave, you get a lot better spot in transition, but you still compete with people in your age group.  Why don't the "elites" only compete with other elites?  Why should I be penalized with a lousy transition spot because I didn't check a box.
